General Classroom Information:
Welcome to another school year! I will be teaching ELA, Health, and Art to Grade 6 this year. Mrs. Borgfjord will be teaching Social Studies, Science and Math. We are excited for a new school year and always welcome parent volunteers throughout the year. Every child is encouraged to be reading every night in order to reach their reading goal of 40 books. TUSC will begin in January.
Grade 6 Homework:
ELA
Spelling handwriting and sentences due every Tuesday
DLR due every Friday
Spelling Workbook due every Thursday
Spelling test every Friday
Read Read Read Read
Reading Journals are taken in every Monday to be read.
Math
DMP is assigned every Monday and is due on Wednesdays.
Daily Word Problems are to be completed each day.
Social Studies
There is a Social Studies Test on Thursday, January 19th.
We will be learning about World War II beginning next week.
Science
We are currently learning about Electricity.
Please sign your child's agenda each day. It is our best communication tool.
Help is available every day at school from Mrs. Borgfjord and Mrs. Toderan.

We did our first experiment in small groups and the students worked extremely hard. I was very impressed with the co-operation and kindness they showed towards one another.
They are also learning to write their process and results according to the scientific method. of recording.
